## What Brevn does

- Crawls and indexes a business's public website pages (services, about, pricing, FAQ, contact) so the chat agent answers from real content rather than generic AI knowledge. On paid plans, pages are re-crawled automatically on a schedule (every 7 or 14 days depending on plan); higher plans allow manual re-crawls.
- Provides an embeddable chat widget that loads with a single asynchronous script tag. It works on custom HTML sites and on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, and Squarespace without a developer.
- Answers visitor questions 24/7 in natural language. When a question is not covered by the website content, the agent says so and can offer to collect contact details for human follow-up instead of inventing an answer.
- Captures leads (name, email, phone, and the question asked) when a visitor shows intent, and emails the business owner with the conversation.
- Supports human takeover: a team member can join a live conversation from the dashboard, and the widget notifies the visitor.
- Keeps a conversation inbox with full thread context for every visitor.
- Offers widget customization: brand color (auto-detected from the website where possible), greeting, launcher icon and size, position, fonts, subtitle, and optional teaser messages. Paid plans can remove or replace the "Powered by Brevn" footer and use mascot launcher icons.
- Provides usage analytics on conversations and leads (Team plan and above) and lead export (Team and above).

Brevn is not designed for enterprise sales organizations that require CRM routing rules, SSO, or custom model training.

## How it works

1. Enter the business website URL. Brevn crawls and indexes the core pages.
2. Customize the widget appearance and greeting, and preview it.
3. Activate the agent and paste one embed snippet into the website's footer or before the closing body tag.
4. Visitors chat, the agent answers from the site content, and leads arrive in the dashboard and by email.

## Pricing (as of October 2026)

Brevn has a Free plan that needs no credit card. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial (card required, cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges). Yearly billing charges for 10 months (two months free).

Plan limits count AI messages: each reply the Brevn assistant sends to a visitor is one AI message. Visitor messages and human-takeover replies from the business do not count. Limits apply per month across all of an account's agents.

- Free: $0. 1 agent, 50 AI messages/month, lead capture and email alerts, customizable widget, conversation history. The widget shows a "Powered by Brevn" footer. No automatic re-crawl, analytics, lead export, or mascot launcher icons. Intended for testing Brevn on a real website.
- Starter: $19/month. 1 agent, 300 AI messages/month, auto re-crawl every 14 days, removable Brevn branding, mascot launcher icons.
- Team: $39/month. 2 agents, 1,500 AI messages/month, adds usage analytics, lead export (CSV), and 1 manual re-crawl/month.
- Growth: $79/month. 3 agents, 6,000 AI messages/month, auto re-crawl every 7 days, and 4 manual re-crawls/month. This is the most popular plan.
- Agency: $149/month. 5 agents, 20,000 AI messages/month, unlimited manual re-crawls, priority support.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments (merchant of record). Plans can be upgraded, downgraded, or cancelled from the billing page. Cancelling a paid plan moves the account to the Free plan.

## Technical notes

- Embed snippet format: `<script src="https://brevn.com/embed/AGENT_PUBLIC_ID.js" async></script>`. Each agent has a unique public ID shown on the Install page in the dashboard.
- The widget renders inside a Shadow DOM so it does not conflict with host site styles, and it loads asynchronously so it does not block page rendering.
- Widget API endpoints under `/api/widget/` are public and CORS-enabled for the embed to function on customer domains. Dashboard, onboarding, auth, API, and embed routes are excluded from search indexing.
- Brevn's crawler identifies itself with the user agent `BrevnBot/1.0 (+https://brevn.com)`.

## Data and privacy

- Crawled pages, conversations, and leads are scoped to the customer's account. Customers can delete agents and their data at any time.
